Chubby Cartwheels is a plus size line created by the adorable Shawna. The is stocked with leggings, skirts, and so much more in fun and fabulous fabrics! It's been awhile since I've done a swoonage profile with a new brand, but I was inspired to share my favorite pieces after looking at her new site re-design. Here are my "must have" picks from Chubby Cartwheels.
1. Mesh Cocoon Jacket in Polka Dot - This jacket is PERFECT! I'm so in love with the polka dot option...my head is swirling from all of the styling possibilities!
2. Two-Tone Leggings - I LOVE a sassy legging, as you well know. These ones, particular the different shades of polka dots, are splendid.
3. Large Spike Ring - I have the small spike ring and I just love it. The bigger option is even more spectacular.
4. Big Button Earrings - The vinyl options are TO DIE FOR! Loving the turquoise for a delicious pop of color.
I love that Shawna creates and runs Chubby Cartwheels herself.... and I have a soft spot for independent designers, being one myself. I'm excited by these pieces and cannot WAIT to see what she creates in the future.

Swoonage: Shrinkle
I really loathe summer...well, the heat, more than the actual season. I suppose it's not its fault, exactly. One of the best ways to survive the heat is to don cute, flirty summer dresses so that you can remain absolutely gorgeous while your make up melts and you get oddly shaped sunburns (oh yes, that is a personal reference).
I've been madly in love with the idea of slips/nightgowns as outerwear since I was a youngin' watching Courtney Love, L7, and Babes in Toyland videos on VHS tapes. I began to think that this would be a PERFECT inspiration to start this summer's fashion adventures...but where can you find such fabulous, vintage slip-age for plus size dames?
Cue the queen of adorable vintage nightwear: Shrinkle! Her etsy shop is full of her own handmade collection (which, sadly, seems to be only size Small items) and a cornucopia of adorable vintage pieces! She has many items up that would work for sizes 1X-4X, just look for a free flowin' silhouettes and items marked Bust 44" and up or XL and up. Here are a few of my favorite plus size choice from her shop!

Free Size $42

2X/3X $40

XL $34

2X $20
Mix these with cardigans, pastel fishnets from We Love Colors, combat boots, and hair bows to bring out your inner riot grrl. Shrinkle ALSO has her own eyeshadow line, Sugarpill. I haven't tried it yet, but it's VERY cute, yes??
Do you have a favorite place to buy vintage dress/slips? Leave a comment with info...I'd LOVE to find even more places!

I originally set out to pick a pair of shoes from my favorite shoe company, Irregular Choice, for a Covet Thursday post. As you can see: I couldn't choose just one! Thus, here is a hybrid post of my Covet Thursday and Swoonage: Irregular Choice Style! Known for their unusual construction and color combinations, they are an amazing way to add immediate interest to a dull outfit. Click the image to get the details, or visit Irregular Choice so see all of their items in their full glory!

Swoonage: Boutique Larrieux
Boutique Larrieux is a brick and mortar store-turned-promising online boutique. With a carefully chosen list of higher-end designers, which includes some gorgeous belts made by a fellow fatshion blogger, I think this site is one to watch. Click the images to go directly to the product's information.

Swoonage: Alloy
Alloy is a junior's plus retailer that does a fairly good job of creating trendy, youthful pieces. The sizes are smaller than other plus size retailers and the prices reflect the quality, but as long as you go into your purchases knowing that, you'll find lots of winners. Here are my favorite pics from the current stock...clothing AND accessories!

Swoonage eShakti
I know I've used/featured eShakti pieces before, but the time has come for a full swoonage! From Small-3X with custom options available, there is no one left out in the cold with these garments! Their prices are also to do die for...I think I NEED to test out the quality for myself and report back =) I'm currently enamored with their "Lace Love" collection...one of each, please!
Pieces, as always, click through to their stats.

Swoonage: LA Vintage
I've NEVER had the patience for vintage shopping. Throw in the the fact that the plus options are VERY limited and it seems too daunting. However, when I came across LA Vintage's plus size section, I felt no grumpies or anger while digging through their gorgeous selection! These pieces are also actually in plus sizes, not just your average L or XL.

Swoonage: New Look
After spending the weekend sick in bed pouring over plus size blogs, it became apparent that I needed to do a swoonage of New Look, a UK site featuring an adorable selection of plus size clothing! It's a favorite among the chubbles outside the US, though I have yet to try any styles myself. My favorites included their incredible selection of adorable sweaters, great sharkbite hems tops, and this adorable Courtney Love throwback tunic.

Swoonage: ASOS Curve
ASOS now offers up to size 26 with their ASOS Curve Collection. The collection is mostly comprised of basics with fairly modern cuts. It's well thought out and seems to be cut with intelligence and a modern edge. I'm very interested to see where this collection leads, as I think it's a good start. I can't wait to see when they let loose. This week's swoonage includes their juiciest pieces! Click the image to get the details.
