Valentine Vamp by Domino Dollhouse
My love of lingerie has carried over from my previous job and I was super happy to introduce lingerie and corsetry at Domino Dollhouse this Valentine's season! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to produce my own designs just yet, so I sourced from some of the finest plus size manufacturers, threw in some gorgeous hatties and thus, I present: the Valentine Vamp collection! Here are some of my favorite images from this shoot. The photography is by Michele Muerte, the hair/make up is by Natasha Marcelina, and the models are Tess Munster and Rayna Salcido. All clothing and accessories were provided by Domino Dollhouse!

So, SO not safe for work. So, SO hot.
- Drag U Preview Clip
I'm so excited for this season...1. Because I love ANYTHING RuPaul and 2. Because my girl Natasha was a make up artist on the show! Oh yes...that's why we took these portfolio pics!

Swoonage: Shrinkle
I really loathe summer...well, the heat, more than the actual season. I suppose it's not its fault, exactly. One of the best ways to survive the heat is to don cute, flirty summer dresses so that you can remain absolutely gorgeous while your make up melts and you get oddly shaped sunburns (oh yes, that is a personal reference).
I've been madly in love with the idea of slips/nightgowns as outerwear since I was a youngin' watching Courtney Love, L7, and Babes in Toyland videos on VHS tapes. I began to think that this would be a PERFECT inspiration to start this summer's fashion adventures...but where can you find such fabulous, vintage slip-age for plus size dames?
Cue the queen of adorable vintage nightwear: Shrinkle! Her etsy shop is full of her own handmade collection (which, sadly, seems to be only size Small items) and a cornucopia of adorable vintage pieces! She has many items up that would work for sizes 1X-4X, just look for a free flowin' silhouettes and items marked Bust 44" and up or XL and up. Here are a few of my favorite plus size choice from her shop!

Free Size $42

2X/3X $40

XL $34

2X $20
Mix these with cardigans, pastel fishnets from We Love Colors, combat boots, and hair bows to bring out your inner riot grrl. Shrinkle ALSO has her own eyeshadow line, Sugarpill. I haven't tried it yet, but it's VERY cute, yes??
Do you have a favorite place to buy vintage dress/slips? Leave a comment with info...I'd LOVE to find even more places!

Versatile Corsets Candy Garden Collection
Photography by Michelle X Star
Models Natasha and Frankie Sin
I had the pleasure of designing, developing, and styling the new collection for my FABULOUS job at Versatile Corsets. For summer, we had wanted to incorporate natural elements, such as cherries and flowers, but without the "grandma's couch" look of a lot of floral corsets. Enter: these fabulous, acid-toned gems! I picked 3 styles that work on a slew of body shapes and they are available pretty much in any size (we have patterns up to 38" corset, but can always custom make for larger sizes). Corsets are sized by "restricted waist" measurement, so we recommend selected 4-6" smaller for you size (eg: You have a 40" waist, select a 34" or 36"). If you have ANY questions about sizing, pricing, etc, feel free to message through the site OR leave a comment.

Fluvia showin' some BUST
Fluvia Lacerda in the Bust Feb/Mar 2010

BUST is one of my favorite magazines, but I have to say: I'm a bit disappointed. These pictures were interspersed between a smaller model who wasn't constantly cropped or covered with a robe. Fluvia has an amazing figure and I wish that we could see more of it. For a feminist magazine, why did their stylist feel the need to hide her?
What do you think of the photos?

Guide to Lingerie
I <3 lingerie! I've said it before and I'll say it again. While my lust for meshy, lacey, frilly, high end lingerie is still unsatisfied by the current state of the industry, there are VAST improvements in the selection. And don't hesitate to grab up the lingerie even if you don't have a honey: cute undies make any outfit that more special.
I went through each of my favorite go to places for Plus Size Lingerie and chose my picks for their best offerings this Valentine's Season. Click the image to get pricing, sizing, and purchase details.
