6 Obsessions: Leather

As the seasons start to change (or are supposed to...it's still 100 degrees here in LA), I always like to cultivate some points of focus for my wardrobe. This week, I will be posting 6 of them total. This post features Leather, something that makes me swoon every time.  There are some MAJOR plus size pieces in this category right now and I'm trying hard not to drool.

I'm pretty much over the moon for the perforated pleather waistcoat from Navabi...I can imagine a million outfits with this one.
And because it is the most epic of epic leather jackets, this one by Lane Bryant's 6th & Lane category gets its very own image.  How PERFECT is it?  Tara Lynn looks amazing and I will continue to dream about this piece.

Valentine's Yummies

Ah...one of my favorite times of year. While most despise Valentine's Day's sappy and exclusive nature, the abundant pink heart decor and hot lingerie makes my heart go pitter-patter. This year, there are so many bras and panties that I'm aching for...and here is the creme de la creme of the V-day undie explosion!!

OOTD: Bright Lights Movie Night

So, somehow this outfit seems inappropriate for seeing the movie Black Swan, but the tights are new and I couldn't wait any longer. This outfit may also seem out of sorts for my usual OOTDs, and that may be true. But, as you know, I'm a a HUGE fan of Betsey Johnson. So while 95% of my closet is black and moody, I have some pieces that reminiscent (if not straight up hers themselves) of her iconic collections. So, with that in mind, I hope you enjoy my brightly-toned departure from all black.

Also, I'd like to say that I have no foundation on in these pics...mostly thanks to my new (mostly) Lush-based skincare routine. These are the products I've been using and am totally in love with. Throw in this moisturizer from Trader Joe's and the Oatfix fresh face mask (also by Lush, but only available in the store) and my skin is suppppppppper happy right now. Full disclosure: there's a SLIGHT filter on the pics, but it honestly doesn't change the skin texture at all.

Sorry for the lack of blogging! Last friday my husband and I moved into our new home and it has been a whirlwind of packing, unpacking, and painting...an exhausting combo! I've mentioned my insane October schedule in some previous posts, but I did manage to snap some photos before attending my girl Eva's rehearsal dinner. Yesterday evening was akin to Christmas morning for the fatshion community. Evans loaded the Beth Ditto Collection up on their site (along with an accompanying Beth only site)...and of course, we all want to know each others opinions and purchases. Well, here's mine!
