As per my previous post, we spent the weekend in Vegas. We drove over to the Container Park to let the girls run amok and discovered all of the incredible artwork around this area of the city. I gravitated towards this particular building and HAD to stop for an OOTD shoot (by artist Felipe Pantone). This outfit is my quintessential go to...and I'm SHOCKED that I haven't shot in it before. I live in the Deia Maxi by Babooshka...it is the oversized asymmetrical maxi dress of my dreams. Throw on my Beth Ditto cropped jacket (yes, I'm sure you are familiar with it if you have EVER read my blog), and my favorite leather chucks and I'm set. It's so comfortable and easy, but I always feel chic in it.
This past weekend my husband's work held their annual Holiday party in Las Vegas. So we packed up the girls, Zara on her first road trip, and headed out to explore and celebrate. I was stoked for the event because it gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my Chubby Cartwheels Boleyn Dress in Velvet Burnout! This dress is SO elegant and yet just as comfortable as PJs...which, honestly, is the core of how I dress. I may need this dress in all the other materials too...it's the perfect silhouette.

I knew when I saw this body chain from Ready to Stare, I had to have it. Made to measure in black iridescent chain, it's an amazing and surprisingly comfortable addition to any look. Just days later, Zelie for She put up the dress and I knew they belonged together. At 7 1/2 months pregnant, here's a little proof that maternity ensembles do NOT have to be what you think. Interesting side note: the chain doubles as a durable and mesmerizing toddler toy!
October proved to be quite busy and November isn't letting up. I just got back from a 2 week trip down the west coast for my anniversary (10 years together, 2 years married), full of shopping, visiting, + eating. I did a pretty good job of documenting our adventures, so stay tuned for some fun snaps! Right before we left, Joe and I headed to LACMA in Beverly Hills for the Tim Burton art exhibit. It was so, so amazing and while they did not allow photography inside, there were some choice areas to take pictures. And thus, I present a Tim Burton-y OOTD, complete with my new green hair.

I'm also heading to Re/Dress's Indie+ Event with my shop, Domino Dollhouse, so I'm knee deep in product shipping, fashion show styling, and packing of my own. I really hope to see many of you there!
- Teer giving SERIOUS Pam Realness Teer models this fabulous City Chic jacket. Her look is inspired by Pam from True Blood...be still my heart! I want to WEEP that this is out of stock in my size...*wah wah wah*
Time for a fresh, new segment on Chubble Bubble: LINKLETTES! Okay, it's not an idea that reinvents the wheel. But, I've been trying to tap into more creative energies now that I am solely responsible for designing pieces for Domino Dollhouse. After an invigorating chat with my gal Frankie, I definitely wanted to follow suite with her blog and create weekly posts cultivating things that week that have tickled my fancy. I'm hoping that this will serve as a spark to my creative juices whenever I'm feeling stumped...and I sincerely hope that it entertains my chubblettes in the process!
- Betsey Johnson's Fall 2011Runway show (click that link to watch the show). My favorite elements were the lace print wigs, mesh print fabrics, the 2nd half's employee model explosion (chubby girls and gay boys make everything better), the floral printed combat boots (particularly the turquoise pair), and the Betsey/Patricia Field dance party explosion at the end. Blogger Gala Darling had the pleasure of hanging out and walking in the show...click that link so see her delicious, picture-filled post.
- The event Plus London's Tumblr. Lauren of Pocket Rocket organized this amazing fatshion blogger meet up. Their Tumblr is full of fun images and links about the events and the bloggers included.
- Lady Gaga's Grammy performance. I was crazy about her pony tail and her absurd egg. I'm a huge fan of Mugler, Sci-Fi, and latex so I was in heaven. Many will shit-talk her over the top performances and "stunts", but the theatrics and artistic ridiculousness are frankly the ONLY reason I watched the Grammys at all. If the mainstream is over it, the freaks will take her with open arms. Also: see her stylist's blog for more in-depth outfit pictures and details.
- Sopes and Potato Tacos from El Camino Real. So, growing up in white-ass Cincinnati, Ohio, I know VERY little about Mexican Food. Actually, up until recently, I knew very little about food that didn't involve pizza or pasta. My switch to Vegetarian life required me to expand my palate, so now I have Indian food, Ramen, and Mexican food under my belt. Long story short: Frankie took me here and now I dream of eating these.
- Jeremy Scott Fall 2011. Favorite elements: Super hero sequin dresses (complete with capes), furry mary janes, candy colored leather minis, skull sweaters, neon faux fur stoles, and the see-thru moto jackets. If you want to see some great behind the scenes shots, check here.
- Teer Wayde blogsabout her gorgeous Dita Cardigan from Wheels and Dollbaby complete with pics of her insanely hot self.
- Lush's Trichomania Solid Shampoo. Dubious about solid shampoos, I only tried this gem because I received a sample in my last lush order. It was conditioning and HIGHLY thorough at cleaning, but my hair felt sensational.
- This picture from the Glamourai. The jacket, glasses and ring...SWOOOOON.
And the best for last: Beth Ditto's brand new video I Wrote the Book from her solo EP
My mother and sister came to visit, so we spent many days out and about. So, I decided that I just had to take the Classic Doll Dress out for a stroll. On top of being INCREDIBLY comfy, it is kinda insanely cute. I opted for a hot pink belt, rather than the black satin sash to add some pop. To keep it all in theme, I threw on the Beth Ditto domino leggings and my current favorite sunglasses, the Candy Glam Sunglasses in Blackberry. I do have to say: I wore a 22 in this dress, while I'm usually a 24 or 26, so buy a size down!

Yesterday evening was akin to Christmas morning for the fatshion community. Evans loaded the Beth Ditto Collection up on their site (along with an accompanying Beth only site)...and of course, we all want to know each others opinions and purchases. Well, here's mine!
I purchased the hanky hem top and the polka dot dress (with the peter pan collar)...SUCH cute pieces and if the fit is rad like the last collection: you're gonna have to pry them off of me after weeks of wearing them over and over again! Also: use the code EVBGBLG10 to save 10%!
What did everybody think? Were you thrilled or underwhelmed? Did you buy anything? Share share share!

Most exciting email I've gotten this month. It's almost here, ladies!! These images were snagged from Evans Blog. Enjoy the teaser!
Beth Ditto is writing her memoirs! Not only that: she's writing them with one of my favorite authors, Michelle Tea. Entitled, "Coal to Diamonds", the book will be out in September 2010 and is said to be "an honest, funny, and engaging memoir about a girl named Beth Ditto who emerged from humble beginnings in rural Arkansas to become a glam lesbian diva intent on saving rock and roll." I, for one, will be devouring this puppy the minute it comes out. Click the cover to read more details.
Inspiration from the current Queen of chubble avant guarde, Beth Ditto, comes in the form the Gossip's new video "Pop Goes the World". With a head of hair after my own heart and a dress to make a drag queen weep, this video is definately worth a viewing. Now who's up for making me a dress like that, huh?
