It has been a HOT MINUTE since I put up a Covet Thursday! But after seeing this super sexy T Rex ring from Noir Jewelry I was inspired to revive the segment. How could you NOT feel ferocious with this bad boy on your digits??

The Perfect Bag for Me

For the past 6 months, I've been looking for the perfect bag. What did I want in a perfect bag? Here were my criteria:

1. Sizable, but not overwhelming - I have lots of stuff to carry around, but it needs to be smaller than an over night bag (my current Betseyville's are often too large for practical everyday use).
2. Black with silver hardware - Many of my bags have gold hardware or are made of very bright patterns, which are not always conducive to a variety of outfits.
3. Large, comfy strap - since the bag is large, the strap must fit easily and comfortably over my shoulder.
4. Leather - I want lasting power with this bag and leather is the the one fabric that can get better over time.

Last week I hit the mall with my partner in crime, Frankie Sin, and found THE BAG that satisfies all of the criteria AND makes my heart go pitter patter. SEE BELOW:

Covet Thursday: Heart Print Ruffle Dress

This week's Covet Thursday selection comes from Aussie retailers City Chic. This heart printed dress is definitely high on the Betsey Scale*. Though the shape won't work for me, I hope to see this cutie on some fatshion blogs soon...I wanna live vicariously through YOU!!

*The Betsey Scale is something my friend Frankie and I use when to referring to how cute something is that is NOT MADE by Betsey Johnson. Since her products come in restricted sizes and high prices, we often try to find pieces that are Betsey-like that fit our lifestyles. This item would be rather high on that scale.

Covet Thursday: Hello Kitty Docs!

For it's 50th Anniversary, Sanrio is teaming up with legendary boot designers, Dr Martens to create these fabulous Hello Kitty inspired boots!! I'm in love with the black/pink ones...the bow is so adorable! Though I'm a 14 hole boot gal at heart, I would make an exception for these cuties!

Who would you die to see create a collection together? I would LOVE to see a Betsey Johnson/Dr Marten collection or a Jeremy Scott/Evans duo!!!

This dress is the latest plus-size friendly offering from my favorite designer, Betsey Johnson. The free flowing cut and stretchy knit will work for almost any size...and the print is freakin' adorable! Save up your pennies, because this covetable piece does not come cheap, but it will be worth every cent.

I've been dreaming about these shoes ever since I saw previews of them flittering around the internet. Patricia Field now has these Vivienne Westwood for Melissa platform shoes up for pre-order...up to size 13!?? Not sure if this is a misprint or if it's just awesome...I'm hoping for the later. Regardless...they are entirely worthy of Covet Thursday.

This Covet Thursday piece is really part of an entire covet-able collection. Tarina Tarantino's new Tuxedo Lingerie collection is like a black tie ball mixed with the whimsy she's know for...it makes for a really delicious combo. In the honor of the month of love and sexiness (aka, the month with an excuse to buy hot lingerie), this covet Thursday piece is from the ruler of fetish latex glamour, Vex Clothing. Their plus size range is modeled by the stunning Betka Schpitz. Here is my FAVORITE outfit, but rest assured: a full swoonage profile is on the way.

This weeks delicious, scrumptious item comes from the new(ish) plus size collection from Forever21, Faith 21. They are expanding the size range and getting a better about including more flamboyant pieces. And that leads us to this Covet Thursdays piece: a Pink/White Leopard Trench! This piece goes up to 3X and runs only $35.
