This tunic was love at first sight for me. It's a great cut for my shape and HELLLLLO bow print! Until I can get my hands on it, I created an ensemble using it's pink, lavender, and turquoise bow graphics to pump up the fun. I'm generally bored by denim, but I think the cute cuffed capris add the perfect touch of casual to this outfit. Add some ribbon lace up ballet flats and you'll be as sweet as a snow cone.

Alt Girl Week
Plus size clothing for the alternative lass is not exactly easy to find. Especially for those of us with discerning taste and style. Very few alternative brands carry bigger than a 2X, and often those that do: aren't very, um, "stylish". Though it's harder to create these styles, it is NOT impossible. This week I will be featuring summer looks for different girls from retro to spooky to futuristic! Each of these girls will get a name and a fierce look...so stay tuned each day for 2 new sets!

Points of Style: Girlieness, Flouncy Skirts, Lace, Corseting, Victorian, Babydoll
Music: Cocteau Twins, Malice Mizer, Rasputina, Emilie Autumn

Swoonage: New Look
After spending the weekend sick in bed pouring over plus size blogs, it became apparent that I needed to do a swoonage of New Look, a UK site featuring an adorable selection of plus size clothing! It's a favorite among the chubbles outside the US, though I have yet to try any styles myself. My favorites included their incredible selection of adorable sweaters, great sharkbite hems tops, and this adorable Courtney Love throwback tunic.

Swoonage: Fan + Friend
I love so many different styles of clothing and I always wished I could be that I could stick to one genre. I've realized that this actually works in favor of a more unique personal style: mix and matching can be HOT! I <3 Fan + Friend for KILLER, unique, romantic pieces. Don't be put off by the head to toe lolita...I find that for my body shape (square-ish), mixing pieces ends up with a more flattering and chic overall look. The pieces go up to size 20 standard and are available in custom measurements beyond that.
The picks:

Oh god, this comes in GREY!
