Plus size clothing for the alternative lass is not exactly easy to find. Especially for those of us with discerning taste and style. Very few alternative brands carry bigger than a 2X, and often those that do: aren't very, um, "stylish". Though it's harder to create these styles, it is NOT impossible. This week I will be featuring summer looks for different girls from retro to spooky to futuristic! Each of these girls will get a name and a fierce look...so stay tuned each day for 2 new sets!

I really love the Zoe look! Are the items from specific stores?

This is seriously one of my favorite posts right now. It's so perfect and very informative. You're so on target with alt fashion.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these! I can't decide which girl I'd rather be.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea. I love that you have music tastes listed - such attention to detail!
ReplyDeleteMadelynnnn - if you click the image, you can see where the items are from. The skirt is Faith 21, the body suit is Evans, the belt is Torrid, the glasses are A-Morir, the shoes and bracelets are all super high end...click the image and you will be whisked away =)
ReplyDeleteCorazones - girrrrrl...you know I <3 you! Wait for my other laddddies!
Stephanie - just wait until Friday and have have 10 ladies to choose from!
Frances - thanks so much! I was obsessed with FRUiTs, the Japanese street fashion book, and I always loved the extra tidbits =)
So cool! I had my punk/goth/alternative days back in HS. I would have totally worn the Zoe look. Now I would totally do the Collette looks. Love them both!
ReplyDeleteI too had high school punk/goth/alternative days, but never grew out of them! The great thing is that these are all pieces that many styles can wear: it's just all how you accessorize them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the response! I look forward to the next looks! It seems that I may have some shopping to do :)
