You may have noticed that I do not wear a lot of color.  It's not because I do not love it, but I have always preferred black clothing on myself.  There's something infinitely cooler about it...but, when eShakti offered a dress for review I decided to branch out and try something else.  This incredible olive dress had a very futuristic vibe to it and so I jumped at the chance.  I opted for the style as shown, but as with all of their pieces you can make select changes to sleeve length, dress length, hem style, etc.  It was custom made to my measurements and was a perfect fit.  My only complaint would be that the zipper style is sewn in such a way that you cannot partially unzip it from the top...it either has to be worn open or up.  But it is made of an incredibly comfortable and light weight jersey...SO easy to wear.  And of course, the eShakti favorite detail, POCKETS!

I wore it for the first time to see Rogue One...appropriate, right? I thought it was giving me major sci-fi vibes.  Check out the pictures and details below!

I am so loving my yellow hair! The pink turned a melon-y orange, as you can see, so for now: MY HEAD IS IN FLAMES! And yes, I know that the bust line of my outfit is rather scandalous, but I LOVE the cut of this bra and I wanted to showcase it. And showcase it, I did. Though Hot Topic has carried plus sizes in the past, for the last few years they've left the plus size products to their sister store, Torrid. However, after a quick browse on the site, I recently discovered that they are now carrying novelty tees up to size 4X and some skirts and dresses up to size 3X. For those of us who like the edgier side of Torrid and are always looking for great casual wear: this expansion is a welcome re-return. From Hello Kitty to steampunk tees and from ruffle skirts to bow dresses, the selection seems better than their past expansions. I can only hope that this is a successful run at these sizes so that we can have another place to find unique, affordable street wear!

Purikura for Valentine's Day

I'm back from Vegas and yesterday Joe and I hung out to celebrate our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. We went to lunch and the japanese photo boots, or Purikura (japanese for "Picture Club"). I was hoping to get better views of my full outfit for an OOTD, but those images ended up being too little (chalk it up to timed image choices and bad Japanese to English translations). Regardless, I'll include the details in case anyone is curious AND has a magnifying glass.

OOTD: Bananas

Last night we poppped over to Reseda to dance the night away at Bananas. Surprisingly, we arrived first and had time to have a photo shoot in the alley before meeting up with our crew. Thus, here is my OOTD from 2/13/10!







I embellished this bra earlier in the day with loose studs and hematite hot fix rhinestones...I had a Selena moment and loved every second of it!

FYI - I LOVE this skirt that I'm wearing! It's an XL from American Apparel and fits like a dream. I highly recommend getting one to go with EVERYTHING!
