Bye Bye Boosh

One of my favorite shops, Babooshka, is closing its doors very soon.  While of course I am sad, I'm so happy for the owner, Francesca, to venture on to new things.  As someone who closed their business to be a full time mom, I completely understand her desire to focus on her family and explore other avenues.  Pretty much everything is on sale, so PLEASE STOCK UP WHILE YOU CAN!! I wear her clothing several times a week and it got me through SO MANY years of pregnancy, travel, and working at home with panache. I popped on this Vent Maxi Tee in stripes and snapped some pics in honor of her closing.

Outfit Details:
Striped Vent Maxi Tee - Babooshka
Leggings - Yours Clothing
Shoes - Custom Converse

I wore this to the Hello Kitty Cafe, a mere 10 minutes from our house.  Here are some pics from the cafe!

Though Hot Topic has carried plus sizes in the past, for the last few years they've left the plus size products to their sister store, Torrid. However, after a quick browse on the site, I recently discovered that they are now carrying novelty tees up to size 4X and some skirts and dresses up to size 3X. For those of us who like the edgier side of Torrid and are always looking for great casual wear: this expansion is a welcome re-return. From Hello Kitty to steampunk tees and from ruffle skirts to bow dresses, the selection seems better than their past expansions. I can only hope that this is a successful run at these sizes so that we can have another place to find unique, affordable street wear!

Covet Thursday: Hello Kitty Docs!

For it's 50th Anniversary, Sanrio is teaming up with legendary boot designers, Dr Martens to create these fabulous Hello Kitty inspired boots!! I'm in love with the black/pink ones...the bow is so adorable! Though I'm a 14 hole boot gal at heart, I would make an exception for these cuties!

Who would you die to see create a collection together? I would LOVE to see a Betsey Johnson/Dr Marten collection or a Jeremy Scott/Evans duo!!!
