6 Obsessions: Leather

As the seasons start to change (or are supposed to...it's still 100 degrees here in LA), I always like to cultivate some points of focus for my wardrobe. This week, I will be posting 6 of them total. This post features Leather, something that makes me swoon every time.  There are some MAJOR plus size pieces in this category right now and I'm trying hard not to drool.

Leather

I'm pretty much over the moon for the perforated pleather waistcoat from Navabi...I can imagine a million outfits with this one.
And because it is the most epic of epic leather jackets, this one by Lane Bryant's 6th & Lane category gets its very own image.  How PERFECT is it?  Tara Lynn looks amazing and I will continue to dream about this piece.

Tiers of Fall

Even though it's still in the 90's here in Southern Cali, my favorite season is approaching and I cannot wait to get back into my jackets + long sleeves! My taste/style hasn't changed very much, but there was one clear categorization became apparent: price. So I have separate my fall wish list into $, $$, and $$$. Thanks to Jeffrey Campbell, $$ has a shoe addendum...finally some Lita's WITHOUT a brown sole and/or busted upper. Also, I've include some goodies I recent bought as well to get a full visual of my fall fashion plan. I think it's also important to see how you can full embrace a style regardless of price. Enough chit chat, onto the goods!

What are you loving this fall? As I hope I demonstrated above, I'm all about drapey layers, HUGE rings, oilslick patents, leopard print, and occult imagery.

The wait is over! Carmakoma's new Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, Carpe Diem, is now shop-able on their website. The look book also features a preview of some more pieces that are to come and the collection is true to Carmakoma style: black, sleek, with fabulous and understated details. Here are my favorite pieces from their current selection!

I have to admit: I have not tried any Carmakoma pieces! I'd love to hear about some Chubblettes experiences in the comment section.

Swoonage

I recently stumbled upon the wonder that is Carmakoma. Usually, when I shop a plus size website, I visually remove the item from their styling or display and mentally place it somewhere COMPLETELY different. Not with Carmakoma: they style it in a way so clean and crisp that I only see what they want me to. And their imagery is most impressive: fashionable, delicate, and utterly chic. These are my favorite pieces and images...surely items to be coveted! Click on the images to go to their website.
