You may have noticed that I do not wear a lot of color. It's not because I do not love it, but I have always preferred black clothing on myself. There's something infinitely cooler about it...but, when eShakti offered a dress for review I decided to branch out and try something else. This incredible olive dress had a very futuristic vibe to it and so I jumped at the chance. I opted for the style as shown, but as with all of their pieces you can make select changes to sleeve length, dress length, hem style, etc. It was custom made to my measurements and was a perfect fit. My only complaint would be that the zipper style is sewn in such a way that you cannot partially unzip it from the top...it either has to be worn open or up. But it is made of an incredibly comfortable and light weight jersey...SO easy to wear. And of course, the eShakti favorite detail, POCKETS!
I wore it for the first time to see Rogue One...appropriate, right? I thought it was giving me major sci-fi vibes. Check out the pictures and details below!

Witches
I'm still lamenting that Halloween is over. I wanted to share these photos last week, but unfortunately Remy took a bad tumble and we ended up in the emergency room receiving 7 stitches. She is doing so much better now, thank god! To ease the pain of Halloween withdrawal, here are some pumpkin patch photos from the 30th.

Black Out Days
It's been 3 months since we moved and things are still to feel like home. I've started exploring photography spots in our yard + house, so forgive me if these images seem a little off. This dress came on Friday and I KNEW I needed to share it with the world. I layered on many of my favorite pieces and put together this look for a friend's birthday party.

Plus Size and Pregnant: Maintaining Your Style
Ok, so if you follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook, you might have read that I am pregnant. It's been a long time in the making and I'm super happy to find myself 7 months along with a baby girl. Though I haven't had to make many clothing adjustments just yet, I have gravitated towards everyday clothing that will continue to work for the next few months and beyond. Since I'm already tummy heavy, most of the cuts and styles that I gravitate towards are perfect for a growing bump. The following pieces/places are my GO-TOs for comfort and continued style.

SWAK Designs:
SWAK is my first stop for perfect basics. They carry 1X-6X and while at first glance they might not seem like my kinda place, some of my favorite things come from here. I wear the Pretty Camis, California Maxi Skirts, Sabrina Maxi Dress, and Lois Maxi Dress so often they have pretty much become my uniform. They are all made in the USA (yay!) and will continue to work throughout my pregnancy and after. I buy multiples in black and always have something cute, comfortable, and stylish to wear.

Yours Clothing Leggings:
I have been wearing these nonstop! They are incredibly comfortable and fit awesomely over a large tummy bump without riding up or down. I love the dark prints, but they have other style options too. These may not work all the time for those who aren't tummy heavy, but for those who are they are a godsend.

Rachel Pally:
I LOVE Rachel Pally dresses. Her maxis and caftans are incredibly quality and ridiculously comfortable. Her pieces are made in the US and are incredibly stylish. I like to scour eBay and 6pm.com to find her pieces at a great price.

eShakti:
eShakti has a wonderful selection of occasion and work attire, all available with custom measurements. It's PERFECT for when your bump starts to effect how standard clothes fit and offers plenty of options. I received an AMAZING dress from them and I will be debuting in an OOTD soon.

Extra Tips:
- Accessories are your friend - concentrate on adding gorgeous necklaces, rings, and bracelets to your basics to convey your style, since basics are much easier to come by in flexible sizes.
- Jackets and Cardigans in open styles will finish off your looks and polish them up.
- Don't try to force fitted garments unless you are madly in love. It's an uncomfortable time, why not embrace flow and stretch. Even if you've been afraid to before, you can still maintain a chicness with the right pieces.

Spring Wishlist
I dare to say that I'm becoming predictable with these wishlists and inspos, but then I remind myself how few plus size blogs focus on darker fashion. It's important to keep showing new places and creative ways to rock an alternative style in a fashionable way, right?? With that small warning, I present my Spring Wishlist! I'm still all about flowing, lightweight tops, great boots, and killer jewelry. These tops from All Saints are PERFECT for pretty much any size and are oh so easy to wear. Want to know where else all these goodies are from? Click the image to go to my polyvore set for prices and links.
Full disclosure: the Gareth Pugh x Melissa Sandals and the glasses are already in my possession. But they were just TOO GOOD to not include. Also note that the Gisela Ramirez Bondage Briefs (which I would wear with the sheer skirt in the warmer months) are now 50% off with the code on her site.
There are a couple of items from Etsy that I'm drooling over as well, but since they cannot be worked into Polyore I'll include them here.

ALLIHALLA Garter Shorts

Nubambu Quartz Ring
There are also several pieces from my upcoming collection for Domino Dollhouse that I will be snagging for myself but NO SPOILERS yet, chubblettes!
