As a long time goth girl, I'd been familiar with Theda Bara photographs. A spooky, alluring woman in the early 1900's posing with skeletons and massive amounts of eyeliner? Of course! I recently discovered that she was actually from the same city in Ohio as me, as well as an alumni of the same college I went to! I began exploring her photographs and getting inspired by the aesthetic of her costuming and public persona. As with all things visual, I took to Pinterest to collection products, inspirational images, and vintage gear to get an idea of how this might translate to my actual wardrobe.
