Crystal Renn walked for Mark Fast last week, thus continuing his use of plus size models on the runway. While I love Crystal, I'm not sure how to feel about these images. I don't care for the dresses...but I'm so happy to see these slinky knits displayed differently than the standard fair. It's sad, because I really loved his Spring/Summer 2010 line...yummmmy.
How do you feel about these?

This comment isn't about your post (sorry!). I just wanted to say that I found your blog today and I love it and your style. It's so hard to find plus-size blogs with girls who are willing to experiment and be creative with their style. So to you I say BRAVA!
ReplyDeleteYou're in LA, right? I live in the SFV.
Thank you so much! I <3 your blog and am saddened to look over and see I hadn't linked it yet!!! I'm in Orange County, but am proned to wondering around the So-Cal area, so I'm kinda all over the place =)
ReplyDeleteThanks again for your kind words! XOXOXOXO
I think the clothes are just too darn TIGHT. I applaud Mark Fast for using plus size models but why not make samples in a size 14 rather than squeezing the models into size 8 samples?!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that HAS to be it. Ill-fitting clothes are any person's worst nightmare, no matter what size they are. Just because it fits DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD WEAR IT. I just think it's a crime to make her look anything less than the goddess she is!!
